The public holiday 2016 of Bangladesh has been published. The public administration ministry of Bangladesh has finalized the public holiday calendar for 2016 including in it 02 days of optional holiday for the ethnic minorities during their Boishabi festival.

 

According to the calendar, employees of government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous offices will have 14 days Public Holidays and also 08 days leave by the executive order.

 

Government employees will get 08 days’ leave on executive order. The holidays on executive order are Bangla New Year on April 14, Shab-E-Barat on May 23, Shab-E-Qadar on July 3, pre and post Eid-Ul-Fitir on July 5 and July 7, pre and post Eid-Ul-Azha on September 11 and September 13 and Ashura on October 12.

 

Besides, employees of other specific religion will enjoy maximum 03 days’ optional holiday as per the earlier consent from the appropriate authority.
